An easy 3 Step Guide to Commissioning Your Pet Portrait

See below for an example of photo requirements.

STEP ONE - Decide on the portrait size

Browse the price list and choose a portrait size you would like.

STEP TWO - Choose a good quality photo of your pet

Please refer to the photo requirements below for helpful instructions and remember to choose the pose wisely, as it will be on the wall for a long time.

STEP THREE - Make contact and secure your booking

Contact me via the 'Contact' page on this website and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Enter a description about your pet in the 'Your Pet' form via this website. This will help me when drawing your pet, to capture the essence of their character.

Once you have chosen a photo reference and size I will require a 20% non refundable deposit (bank transfer) to secure your booking and a completion date can be arranged. Final payment to be made upon completion.

Please read the FAQ's for helpful information regarding specifications, photo requirements, framing and shipping. I'm always happy to answer further questions.

Photo Requirements

Unfortunately I don't always have the opportunity to meet your pet in person so true to life photos are super important.

When taking a photo of your pet please ensure the light is as natural as possible eg. daylight. The photo needs to be sharp clearly showing the details of the fur. Also avoid dark shadows if possible as they can hide the features. The more detail, the more likeness to your pet. Multiple photos helps with navigation of features.

These photos (below) demonstrate not only how the fur colour changes on this cat depending on the light source but also the variation in sharpness. It's also great to have some close ups for key features if possible.
