I hope you find the answers to your questions, however, I am more than happy to discuss any further questions you may have.

How long will my portrait take?

Once we have finalised size, which photo to use, framing and shipping etc. I require at least 10 days to complete the portrait (longer if it's a multiple pet portrait), then we allow time for delivery. If you have a specific date in mind let's discuss it.

What if I the pet has passed and I have limited access to photographs?

In this difficult situation it's important to gather as many photos as you can that show your pet in different angles. When I'm in the drawing process I can refer to them for tricky areas that are perhaps not clear in the chosen photo.
Communication with you is also important to ensure I have the correct colouring, features etc. I may need to consult reference pictures of similar animals as a guide when developing common features eg. the nose.  
I can enhance photos to a degree to help with sharpness, exposure if need be. But I can't stress how important good reference photos are if possible.

Is framing included in the final price

The prices listed cover the cost of mounting but not the actual frame, it will be up to you to choose a frame of your choice once you have the finished portrait. The mount will be of a size so it can fit a standard frame or cut down slightly if necessary.

So, upon completion you will receive the artwork within a mount. This helps protect the artwork from bending etc.

Shipping is not included within the final price. Please add $20 for shipping with Australia or I can provide you with a price if you require international shipping .

Absolutely! A surprise gift is such a great idea. Please specify if you need discretion regarding the portrait (see the Your Pet page on this website). Although I use social media as a promotional tool and a fun way to keep clients updated, I am aware it is a public space and I'm more than happy to refrain from posting during the process if that's what you require.

How do I pay for my portrait?

Once you've decided to go ahead and we've discussed a final reference photo and timeline, you need to send through a 20% deposit to me. The remainder of payment needs to be made once the artwork is complete and I've sent you a final photo of it for your approval. Then I will ship the portrait to you.
Payment can be made through direct transfer, the details of which I will provide.
